The Soest site, a subsidiary of the Taiwanese technology group Delta Electronics, plays a key role in the company’s business in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Located in NRW, Delta develops and tests power supply solutions for AI and high-performance computing data centers, as well as for electric vehicle charging infrastructure.

The company is responding to significantly increased technical requirements and rapidly growing markets in the EMEA region with this expansion. Currently, it employs around 450 people from 35 countries at the site. After continuously expanding its workforce in recent years, the company is taking the next step in its growth. "For decades, Soest has been a key driver of innovation for Delta in the EMEA region. This expansion underscores our commitment to expanding our local research and development capabilities in Europe," said Managing Director Dr. Peter Ide.

The building itself is designed with sustainability and energy efficiency in mind. Delta combines modern laboratory infrastructure with resource-efficient operations by using rooftop photovoltaics, heat pumps and battery storage.
