Subsequently, the data will be deleted unless the data is still required for the fulfillment of a contract or pre-contractual measures. If NRW.Global Business GmbH is obliged to archive your personal data due to legal obligations, for example, compliance with the retention obligations pursuant to the German Commercial Code (HGB) and the German Fiscal Code (AO), this data will be blocked for further processing. After expiration of the retention periods, the data will be deleted without objection and in accordance with data protection regulations. The data will not be transferred to a recipient in a third country.

Your existing rights with respect to us can be found in the "Rights of the data subject" section below in the general principles of data processing.

Inasmuch as the request relates to the activities of subsidiaries, affiliates or companies of NRW.Global Business GmbH and this is necessary for efficient processing of the request, your data may be passed on to the company or representative office concerned. In addition, EU standard contractual clauses pursuant to Article 46(2)(c) GDPR have been concluded with all our international offices. Transfer of the data to a recipient in a third country is therefore possible.

If the registration relates neither to a pre-contractual measure of your own nor to a contract that you yourself have concluded or will conclude with NRW.Global Business GmbH, we process your personal data on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR in the context of our legitimate interest in making certain content and services available to you on the website.

Your personal data will be transferred to implementation partners or IT service providers for support as data processors. No transfer to a recipient in a third country will be made. However, if this is the case due to the implementation conditions, we will obtain your separate consent.

Your personal data will be stored for the duration of your registration. If you delete your profile created during registration, your personal data collected there will be deleted immediately. The data will be deleted no later than six months after completion of the application process, unless the data is still required for the implementation of the employment relationship.

Your personal data will be transferred to our HR tool "Personio" for support as a data processor. No transfer to a recipient in a third country will be made.

Your other existing rights can be found in the item "Rights of the data subject" in the general principles of data processing below.

Exhibitor List

NRW.Global Business GmbH regularly organizes trade fairs and events to provide information about NRW as a business location and to offer regional companies the opportunity to present themselves. In the process, personal data of contact persons and, if applicable, of employees of the represented companies who use the service is transmitted to "Google Slides", a service of Google Ireland Ltd ("Google"), as an order processor. In this context, the transfer of personal data to a third country, in particular to the USA, cannot be excluded. In order to ensure an adequate level of data protection, we have agreed standard contractual clauses with Google pursuant to Art. 46 (2)(c) GDPR.

Use of cookies and other technologies on our website

Cookies

The web pages use cookies in several places. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer and saved by your browser. They are used, for example, to determine the frequency of use and the number of users of the web pages and thereby make the Internet presence more user-friendly and effective. Session cookies are used, which are stored only temporarily for the duration of your use of the web pages and then automatically deleted, as well as persistent cookies. The content of a persistent cookie is limited to an identification number to record information about users who repeatedly access a website. The purpose of such cookies is to recognize you as a user and, if necessary, to offer you an optimized user experience.

Cookies do not cause any damage to your computer and do not contain viruses. You can prevent cookies from being saved by specifying this in your browser settings. If you do not accept cookies, this may lead to restrictions in the functionality of the web pages.

Session Cookies:

The use of session cookies is necessary so that we can provide the website for you. This represents a legitimate interest for us. The legal basis for the processing of your personal data using session cookies is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. You can object to the use of session cookies, but it is important to note that without cookies, some functions of our website cannot be offered. Your personal data will only be stored for the duration of your use of the web pages and subsequently deleted. Your other existing rights can be found in the section "Rights of the data subject" in the general principles of data processing below.

Persistent Cookies:

Persistent cookies are automatically deleted after a specified period of time, which may differ depending on the cookie. You can delete the cookies in the security settings of your browser at any time. With the help of the cookies, it is possible for us to track your usage behavior and thereby improve our service for you. They are also designed to enable you to surf our website in an optimized way. Persistent cookies are differentiated according to whether they are technically necessary or not. If this is affirmed in an individual case, they are also based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The use of technically unnecessary cookies takes place with your consent. These cookies are only set when you have actively given your consent. The legal basis for the data processing is Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can revoke your consent at any time. The revocation of consent does not affect the lawfulness of the processing carried out on the basis of the consent until the revocation. You can set your Internet browser so that our cookies cannot be stored on your terminal device or so that cookies that have already been stored are deleted. If you do not accept cookies, this may lead to restrictions in the functionality of the web pages.

With your consent, we also incorporate cookies from third-party providers. In this case, the corresponding third-party data packets are stored in your browser or transmitted to them. As a rule, you can also prevent the use of third-party cookies by setting your browser accordingly. The legal basis for the processing of your personal data using third-party cookies is Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. Also in this case, you can revoke your consent at any time. The revocation of consent does not affect the lawfulness of the processing carried out on the basis of the consent until the revocation.

Your other existing rights can be found in the item "Rights of the data subject" in the general principles of data processing below.

Use of Matomo

Our website uses the web analysis service Matomo from InnoCraft Ltd. in New Zealand. Matomo is an open source software for the statistical analysis of visitor hits. Cookies are used for this purpose. The information generated by the cookies about your use of the website is collected, stored and processed on our server in Germany and not transmitted to third parties. The IP address is automatically anonymized by making parts of the IP address unrecognizable.

The legal basis for data processing using Matomo cookies is your consent according to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can revoke your consent at any time. The revocation of consent does not affect the lawfulness of the processing carried out on the basis of the consent until the revocation. You can find your other existing rights in the point "Rights of the data subject" below.

For more information about InnoCraft Ltd. and Matomo, please visit https://www.innocraft.com/#aboutus.

You have the option to prevent actions you take here from being analyzed and linked. This will protect your privacy, but will also prevent the owner from learning from your actions and improving the usability for you and other users.

Incorporation of social media plugins

Social plugins ("plugins") of the social networks [YouTube, LinkedIn, Xing as well as the microblogging service Twitter] are also used on our website. These services are offered by the following companies ("providers"):

Twitter is operated by Twitter Inc, 1355 Market St, Suite 900, San Francisco, CA 94103, USA ("Twitter"). An overview of the Twitter buttons and their appearance can be found here: https://twitter.com/about/resources/buttons

YouTube is operated by YouTube LLC ("YouTube") 901 Cherry Ave San Bruno, CA 94066. YouTube is a subsidiary of Google LLC ("Google")].

Xing is operated by New Work SE, Am Strandkai 1, 20457 Hamburg, Germany

LinkedIn is operated by LinkedIn Inc, Sunnyvale, California.

To better protect your personal data, we have opted for the so-called two-click solution. Basically, by activating the plugin, you yourself determine whether data is transmitted to the provider or not.

When a page of our website is called up by clicking on the button, the browser establishes a direct connection to the provider's servers. The content of the plugin is transmitted directly to your browser by the respective provider and integrated into the page. By integrating the plugins, the providers receive the information that your browser has called up the corresponding page of our website, even if you do not have a profile or are not currently logged in. This information (including the IP address) is transmitted from your browser directly to a server of the respective provider in the USA and stored there. If you are logged in to one of the services, the providers can directly assign your visit to our website to your profile on Twitter, YouTube, Xing and LinkedIn. If you interact with the plugins, for example by clicking the "Play", "Like", or "Twitter" button, or if you activate another button with the embedded content from the respective provider, the corresponding information is also transmitted directly to a server of the provider and stored there. This is also the case with the "Recommend" function of our website. In addition, the information is published in the social network, on your account and displayed there to your contacts. These statistics are generated and provided by Facebook. As the operator of the fan page, we have no influence on the generation and display. We cannot turn off this function or prevent the generation and processing of the data. The purpose and scope of the data collection and the further processing and use of the data by the providers as well as the related rights and setting options for the protection of privacy can be found under the privacy notices of the providers:

https://twitter.com/privacy

https://policies.google.com/privacy

https://privacy.xing.com/en

https://www.linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy

If you do not want the provider to assign the collected data directly to your profile in the respective service, you must log out of the corresponding service before visiting our website.

The legal basis for the integration of social networks is your consent according to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can revoke your consent at any time by deactivating the plugins. We also recommend deleting all cookies via the security settings of your browser. The revocation of consent does not affect the lawfulness of the processing carried out on the basis of the consent until the revocation. You can find your other existing rights in the point "Rights of the data subject" below.

For further information on the collection, processing and use of your personal data in the social networks, as well as the related rights and setting options for the protection of privacy, we would like to refer you to the respective providers.

Campaign tracking – AdForm Image Pixel

The AdForm Image Pixel is used on our website for the tracking of advertising campaigns and the management of user-based online advertising.

The data collection in the context of online advertising is carried out by our advertising service provider as part of order processing. In this context, the AdForm Image Pixel is used for the following purposes.

Campaign effectiveness tracking on our website

Through tracking, contact that users have with advertisements on other websites (visual contacts and clicks on advertising banners) are related to subsequent interactions on our website. The data collected is statistically evaluated in order to optimise the performance of media campaigns. All collected usage data is stored using a pseudonym. The data collected is not used to personally identify visitors to our websites and will not be combined with personal data about the bearer of the pseudonym.

Management of user-based online advertising (retargeting)

The service provider collects and analyses, in pseudonymised form, your usage behaviour on the website operated by us. This data is utilised to address users with targeted advertising based on their usage behaviour after visiting our website. This advertising takes place away from our website.

Device data (e.g. browser version and settings, device brand, operating system) is also stored in this context. In addition, your IP address is collected to determine information about your location (such as city, latitude and longitude (of the city)). The processed data can be used to create pseudonymous user profiles based on individual usage behaviour (e.g. activity on websites, the duration of the visit and entries in search systems). In this case, a randomly created cookie ID (device ID) is assigned to the user in the locally stored cookie and retained.

The legal basis for data processing is your consent pursuant to Art. 6, para. 1 (a) GDPR. In accordance with Art. 7, para. 3 GDPR, you can withdraw your consent at any time. The withdrawal of consent does not affect the legality of the processing carried out on the basis of the consent until its withdrawal. You can withdraw your consent at any time by reopening the cookie settings.

According to AdForm, any transfers of your personal data to organisations outside the EU or the EEA that may take place will be carried out on the basis of appropriate guarantees pursuant to the requirements of Chapter 5 of the GDPR.

The AdForm Image Pixel used has a storage period of 13 months. Data collected in connection with the use of the pixel will be deleted by AdForm after 13 months at the latest. Your other rights can be found under ‘Rights of the data subject’ below.

The third-party cookies described on the following page are used to collect data:

site.adform.com/privacy-center/adform-cookies/
You have the option of preventing the system from recording usage data at any time by setting an opt-out cookie here. If you delete the cookies in your browser, opt-out cookies will also be deleted. You will then need to opt out again.

Campaign tracking – „Google Campaign Manager – Floodlight"

This website uses functions of the "Google Campaign Manager" service, in particular the "Floodlight" function. The service provider is Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

Campaign Manager is used to display interest-based advertisements to you throughout the Google advertising network. The ads can be targeted to the interests of the respective viewer with the help of Campaign Manager. For example, our ads may be displayed in Google search results or in banner ads on third party websites associated with Campaign Manager. In order to display ads to users that are tailored to their interests, Campaign Manager must be able to recognize the respective viewer. For this purpose, a cookie is stored in the user's browser, behind which the websites visited by the user, clicks and various other information is stored. This information is combined into a pseudonymous user profile in order to display interest-based advertising to the user in question. In the process, data is transferred to Google. Insofar as personal data is transferred to the USA, the appropriate safeguards for the transfer to a third country are the standard data protection clauses; more detailed information can be found at https://privacy.google.com/businesses/processorterms/

Floodlight is a so-called conversion tracking system that can be used to measure the effectiveness of advertising measures. With the help of a cookie, we can determine whether you perform certain actions on our website after clicking on one of our ads on Google or on third-party websites. The storage of cookies and the processing of personal data are based on your consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) p. 1 lit. a DSGVO. During your first visit to our website, you will be asked whether you wish to give consent for cookies that collect personal data to be set. You can choose to give your consent for all cookies ("Accept" button), or make custom settings under the "Settings" button. There, you can decide by checking a box whether you want to give consent for certain services, give consent for certain categories of services, or refuse to give consent. Consent is voluntary and you can revoke it at any time under "Cookie settings" in the lower area of our website (so-called footer) with effect for the future by deselecting a check mark once set. You can also deactivate personalized advertising using Google's "Advertising settings". You will then no longer receive personalized advertising via Google services: https://www.google.com/settings/ads

For further information on how to object to the advertisements displayed by Google, please refer to the following links:
https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites and https://policies.google.com/privacy.

Google Ads

The website operator uses Google Ads. Google Ads is an online advertising program of Google Ireland Limited ("Google"), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

Google Ads enables us to display advertisements in the Google search engine or on third-party websites when the user enters certain search terms on Google (keyword targeting). Furthermore, targeted advertisements can be displayed based on the user data available at Google (e.g. location data and interests) (target group targeting). As the website operator, we can evaluate this data quantitatively by analyzing, for example, which search terms led to the display of our advertisements and how many advertisements led to corresponding clicks.
The use of this service is based on your consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) and Art. 25 para. 1 TTDSG (Telekommunikation-Telemedien-Datenschutz-Gesetz = German Telecommunications and Telemedia Data Protection Act). Consent can be revoked at any time.
Data transfer to the USA is based on the standard contractual clauses of the EU Commission. Details can be found here: https://policies.google.com/privacy/frameworks and https://privacy.google.com/businesses/controllerterms/mccs/.
The company is certified in accordance with the "EU-US Data Privacy Framework" (DPF). The DPF is an agreement between the European Union and the USA that is intended to ensure compliance with European data protection standards for data processing in the USA. Every company certified under the DPF undertakes to comply with these data protection standards. Further information on this can be obtained from the provider at the following link: https://www.dataprivacyframework.gov/s/participant-search/participant-detail?contact=true&id=a2zt000000001L5AAI&status=Active

Google Ads Remarketing

This website uses the functions of Google Ads Remarketing. The provider is Google Ireland Limited ("Google"), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

With Google Ads Remarketing, we can assign people who interact with our online offer to specific target groups in order to subsequently show them interest-based advertising in the Google advertising network (remarketing or retargeting).
Furthermore, the advertising target groups created with Google Ads Remarketing can be linked to Google's cross-device functions. In this way, interest-based, personalized advertising messages that have been adapted to you depending on your previous usage and surfing behavior on one device (e.g. cell phone) can also be displayed on another of your devices (e.g. tablet or PC).
If you have a Google account, you can object to personalized advertising by clicking on the following link: https://www.google.com/settings/ads/onweb/.
The use of this service is based on your consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR and Art. 25 para. 1 TTDSG. Consent can be revoked at any time.
Further information and the data protection provisions can be found in Google's privacy policy at: https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads?hl=en.
The company is certified in accordance with the "EU-US Data Privacy Framework" (DPF). The DPF is an agreement between the European Union and the USA, which is intended to ensure compliance with European data protection standards for data processing in the USA. Every company certified under the DPF undertakes to comply with these data protection standards. Google Conversion Tracking

This website uses Google Conversion Tracking. The provider is Google Ireland Limited ("Google"), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

With the help of Google Conversion Tracking, Google and we can recognize whether the user has performed certain actions. For example, we can evaluate which buttons on our website were clicked how often and which products were viewed or purchased particularly frequently. This information is used to create conversion statistics. We find out the total number of users who have clicked on our ads and what actions they have taken. We do not receive any information with which we can personally identify the user. Google itself uses cookies or comparable recognition technologies for identification purposes.
The use of this service is based on your consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR and Art. 25 para. 1 TTDSG. Consent can be revoked at any time.
You can find more information about Google Conversion Tracking in Google's privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en.
The company is certified in accordance with the "EU-US Data Privacy Framework" (DPF). Meta Pixel (formerly Facebook Pixel)

This website uses the Facebook/Meta visitor action pixel to measure conversions. The provider of this service is Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Ireland. However, according to Facebook, the data collected is also transferred to the USA and other third countries.

This allows the behavior of site visitors to be tracked after they have been redirected to the provider's website by clicking on a Facebook ad. This allows the effectiveness of Facebook ads to be evaluated for statistical and market research purposes and future advertising measures to be optimized.
The data collected is anonymous for us as the operator of this website; we cannot draw any conclusions about the identity of the user. However, the data is stored and processed by Facebook so that a connection to the respective user profile is possible and Facebook can use the data for its own advertising purposes in accordance with the Facebook Data Usage Policy (https://de-de.facebook.com/about/privacy/). This allows Facebook to place advertisements on Facebook pages and outside of Facebook. This use of the data cannot be influenced by us as the site operator.
The use of this service is based on your consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR and Art. 25 para. 1 TTDSG. Consent can be revoked at any time.

We use the advanced matching function within the meta pixels.
Advanced matching enables us to transmit various types of data (e.g. place of residence, state, zip code, hashed email addresses, name, gender, date of birth or telephone number) of our customers and prospects that we collect via our website to Meta (Facebook). This activation enables us to tailor our advertising campaigns on Facebook even more precisely to people who are interested in our offers. In addition, the extended matching improves the allocation of website conversions and expands Custom Audiences.
Insofar as personal data is collected on our website with the help of the tool described here and forwarded to Facebook, we and Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland are jointly responsible for this data processing (Art. 26 GDPR). The joint responsibility is limited exclusively to the collection of the data and its transfer to Facebook. The processing carried out by Facebook after forwarding is not part of the joint responsibility. The obligations incumbent on us jointly have been set out in an agreement on joint processing. The text of the agreement can be found at: www.facebook.com/legal/controller_addendum. According to this agreement, we are responsible for providing the data protection information when using the Facebook tool and for the secure implementation of the tool on our website in accordance with data protection law. Facebook is responsible for the data security of Facebook products. You can assert data subject rights (e.g. requests for information) regarding the data processed by Facebook directly with Facebook. If you assert your data subject rights with us, we are obliged to forward them to Facebook.

Data transfer to the USA is based on the standard contractual clauses of the EU Commission. Details can be found here: https://www.facebook.com/legal/EU_data_transfer_addendum and https://de-de.facebook.com/help/566994660333381.
You can find further information on protecting your privacy in Facebook's privacy policy: https://de-de.facebook.com/about/privacy/.
You can also deactivate the remarketing function "Custom Audiences" in the settings for advertisements at https://www.facebook.com/ads/preferences/?entry_product=ad_settings_screen. You must be logged in to Facebook to do this.
If you do not have a Facebook account, you can deactivate usage-based advertising from Facebook on the website of the European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance: http://www.youronlinechoices.com/de/praferenzmanagement/.
The company is certified in accordance with the "EU-US Data Privacy Framework" (DPF). Facebook Conversion API

We have integrated Facebook Conversion API on this website. The provider of this service is Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Ireland. However, according to Facebook, the data collected is also transferred to the USA and other third countries.

Facebook Conversion API enables us to record the website visitor's interactions with our website and pass them on to Facebook in order to improve advertising performance on Facebook.
In particular, the time of the view, the website viewed, your IP address and your user agent as well as any other specific data (e.g. products purchased, value of the shopping cart and currency) are recorded.
