Free cybersecurity consulting for SMEs

The second EU Directive on Network and Information Security (NIS 2) has established new, mandatory requirements for digital security in the business sector. It requires not only large corporations but also small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) across numerous industries to significantly strengthen their cybersecurity strategies.

The NIS 2 regulations require affected companies to implement technical and organizational risk management measures, as well as reporting processes for security incidents. For many SMEs in NRW, this creates an additional need to assess their situation and prepare appropriate security measures.

The state of NRW has therefore established a “NIS 2 Contact Point” at eurobits e.V. in Bochum to support SMEs in implementing European cybersecurity standards. There, companies can receive free consultation, assess the extent to which the directive applies to them, and identify specific implementation measures.
