The so-called Middle Corridor is becoming increasingly important for international supply chains as a key trade route between Europe and Asia. Azerbaijan plays a central role as a transit hub on the Caspian Sea, and Kazakhstan is considered an important market for infrastructure and logistics projects along the route. From June 29 to July 3, 2026, NRW.Global Business is therefore organizing a company trip to these two target markets, focusing on intralogistics, port and terminal technology, and traffic and transport infrastructure.
Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan are investing specifically in the expansion of modern transportation, transshipment, and logistics hub capacities. The investment requirement through 2030 is approximately 20 billion euros, which opens up significant market opportunities for companies offering solutions in these sectors. Cargo transshipment along this route has increased sevenfold in recent years, and is expected to double again by 2030.
In addition to economic briefings, meetings are planned with local institutions, project sponsors, and companies. Participants will gain insights into current infrastructure developments and have the opportunity to network with relevant stakeholders along the Middle Corridor.
The registration deadline is May 7, 2026. Further information about the trip and registration can be found on the NRW.Global Business website.
