Construction firm Goldbeck expands into the U.S. with joint venture

From Germany to the U.S.: The Bielefeld-based company Goldbeck is now taking this step. Goldbeck plans, builds and operates real estate using a systematic construction approach. To enter the market, Goldbeck has formed a joint venture with Mortenson, one of the largest construction companies in the United States. The goal is to bring Goldbeck’s serial, systematic construction approach to the U.S. market. Starting in 2027, the partners plan to build turnkey properties there.

Goldbeck brings its experience from many successful projects to the table. The company’s proprietary model is characterized by standardized components and processes. However, the use, dimensions and design of the buildings can still be planned on a project-by-project basis. Digital planning and management processes link planning, procurement and implementation. Mortenson contributes market knowledge and experience with construction projects in various states to the partnership.

Goldbeck has access to 16 of its own manufacturing plants in Europe. In the U.S., the necessary components will initially be sourced from local suppliers. The required network is already in place. For instance, Goldbeck has a Tech & Innovation Hub in Silicon Valley. There, the East Westphalian company collaborates with Stanford University, among others. It was through this hub that Goldbeck established contact with Mortenson, which led to the new partnership.
