Belgium: Market potential for smart homes and building technology

With around 70 percent of Belgians owning apartments or houses, the country offers attractive conditions for solutions related to connected living. Approximately one-third of Belgians are interested in smart home applications. This opens up new market potential for companies from NRW in areas such as energy efficiency, security, comfort and intelligent building control.

From September 14 to 16, 2026, NRW.Global Business is organizing a company trip to the Brussels and Flanders regions. Participants will gain practical insight into current Belgian market developments and learn about business opportunities in areas such as security technology, energy-efficient solutions, senior-friendly living, smart connectivity and user-friendly control systems.
