Investors from India, Israel, France and the Netherlands were honored yesterday for their commitment to the location.
Four companies can look forward to this year's NRW.INVEST Award – and each one has its own unique success story: Whether it's Indian IT expert Infosys, which has become a pioneer in digitalization with a start-up capital of 250 dollars and is now launching its German business in Düsseldorf. Or the Dutch company 247TailorSteel, which is bringing its vision of the Smart Factory to North Rhine-Westphalia.
All the prize winners enrich the location with their expertise and technologies, creating new jobs and increasing the innovative strength of North Rhine-Westphalia. One of them is the Israeli company OrCam, which uses artificial intelligence to improve the everyday lives of blind and visually impaired people. With the French parcel service provider DPD, the winners also include a logistics expert, setting new standards in automation and sustainability with its state-of-the-art parcel sorting center in Hamm.
The NRW.INVEST Award was presented by Economics and Digital Affairs Minister Prof. Dr. Andreas Pinkwart and NRW.INVEST CEO Petra Wassner.
