IHK NRW – The Chambers of Commerce and Industry in North Rhine-Westphalia
The IHK NRW is the state association of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (CCIs) in North Rhine-Westphalia. It acts as the joint representative of the 16 CCIs in NRW vis-à-vis state politics and state government, administrations, associations and other organizations. Its task is to develop common positions and represent the interests of the North Rhine-Westphalian economy, companies and member chambers.
The West German Chambers of Crafts and Skilled Trades' Council
The West German Chambers of Crafts and Skilled Trades' Council (WHKT) is the central governing body of the seven chambers of crafts and skilled trades in North Rhine-Westphalia. Its responsibilities include organizing and coordinating the tasks carried out uniformly by the chambers of crafts and skilled trades, representing their interests to the state authorities and maintaining the chambers' relations with other crafts and skilled trades organizations. The WHKT sees itself as a driving force for development processes in order to make chambers of crafts and skilled trades and craft businesses future-proof.
