HyBaT supports battery and hydrogen technologies in NRW

The “HyBaT – Hydrogen Battery Transformation Hub” project has launched a new transfer network for battery and hydrogen technologies in the Münsterland and Emscher-Lippe regions. Coordinated by Technologieförderung Münster, the initiative aims to strengthen knowledge and technology transfer specifically between companies and research institutions in these two forward-looking fields.

The focus is on the synergies between the battery and hydrogen industries in areas such as production, disassembly, recycling, and product development. The goal is to help small and medium-sized enterprises tap into new technological potential and develop innovative business models for future markets. To this end, companies will have access to research institutions, technological infrastructure, and regional innovation networks.

HyBaT puts emphasis on close collaboration between science and industry to actively drive industrial transformation in the region. In addition to Technologieförderung Münster, project partners include the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) North Westphalia, Münster University of Applied Sciences, the MEET Battery Research Center, WiN Emscher-Lippe, the Westphalian University of Applied Sciences, and Münsterland e.V.
