Düsseldorf - On Friday 24 June, the Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Germany (CHKD), together with NRW.INVEST, will host the 2nd CHKD Recruitment Fair at the Congress Center Düsseldorf. The cross-cultural career show is a platform where excellent Chinese and German companies meet with young, aspiring talents from both countries.
In view of the close economic links between Germany and China, more and more companies face the task of aligning their workforce interculturally with Chinese and German specialists. Especially for Chinese companies, it is a challenge to find suitable people to fill the positions accordingly. The event underlines the fact that the Chinese business community in Germany would like to participate more actively in the German labor market in the future, create jobs and thus continue to assume social responsibility. More than 900 Chinese companies are based in North Rhine-Westphalia. Chinese commitment creates and secures a total of over 10,000 jobs.
Two of the nearly 20 exhibitors at this year's "German-Chinese Career Fair" are Preh GmbH and its parent company Joyson, which has held a controlling share in the German automotive supplier since 2011. Other exhibitors include the Chinese telecommunications giant China Unicom, the private Chinese airline Hainan Airlines, the steadily growing railway supplier Victall and Jungheinrich AG, one of the world's three largest suppliers of materials handling, storage and material flow technology.
As in the previous year, the exhibitors are offering numerous jobs for Chinese and German students, young professionals and aspiring specialists. Around 800 visitors are expected. The trade fair will begin on Friday, 24 June at 9:30 am with an opening ceremony to be attended by Feng Haiyang, Consul General of the PRC in Düsseldorf, Dr. Günther Horzetzky, State Secretary in the NRW Ministry of Economic Affairs, Petra Wassner, CEO NRW.INVEST GmbH and Rao Yuyong, CHKD Vice President. The exhibition itself begins at 10 am.
