Zeppelin invests millions in climate-neutral new building

Three years after the groundbreaking ceremony, Zeppelin, an international trading, engineering, and service group in the construction machinery and plant engineering sector, has opened a climate-neutral building complex. This was necessary due to the branch in Eschweiler reaching its limits due to constant growth.

Zeppelin established a presence in Eschweiler 30 years ago and currently employs approximately 50 people at the site. The opening of the new branch on one of the expansion sites in the industrial and commercial park (IGP) represents a long-term commitment to the location.

In the construction of the new building complex, which comprises offices, a workshop, a metalworking shop, a washing hall, an outdoor washing area, a company filling station, and a high-bay warehouse, a conscious decision was made to forgo the use of fossil fuels. A photovoltaic system has been installed on the flat roof to generate electricity. In order to conserve resources, the consumption of fresh water has been reduced, and gray water is filtered and recycled. These measures are part of the Group's strategy to become CO2-neutral in ongoing operations by 2030.
