The Swiss company Sulzer has opened a new branch in Essen's Econova industrial park. Sulzer is a leading global supplier in the fields of fluid engineering and chemical processing and is bundling its engineering, application technology, service teams and extensive storage capacities for raw materials and finished products at one location in NRW. The company's separation technology components are required for the extraction of pure individual substances for a wide range of applications in the chemical, life science and process industries.
The number of jobs at the new site has doubled to 60. Sulzer manufactures almost its entire product portfolio there. With more than 450 applications in the process industry and continuous development of new products for the separation of mixtures, the company contributes to greater energy efficiency, higher yields, and improved product quality.
There were many factors that spoke in favor of NRW as a location: the proximity to important customers in the chemical and petrochemical industries and the central location enable short delivery and response times throughout Europe. Access to well-trained specialists and a dense network of suppliers and partners also had a positive influence on the location decision.
