Insights into Luxembourg's booming timber construction sector

The timber construction sector is booming in Luxembourg. Since 2017, new buildings must be built to passive house standards, and the government also supports the energy-efficient renovation of existing buildings with extensive funding programs. This is one of the reasons why timber construction is currently experiencing a strong upswing in the country. Luxembourg has great potential as a location, but is not yet a major focus for German companies. Timber construction companies, carpenters, joiners and companies specializing in timber frame construction from NRW can therefore visit some particularly innovative projects as part of a company trip organized by NRW.Global Business and make valuable contacts in the process.

During the market development trip from November 12-14, 2024, participants will visit buildings in solid timber design, modular and circular timber buildings, facades with wood-straw-earth modules, a building without heating and ventilation, and the WOODEN timber building made entirely of wood. There will be plenty of opportunities to network with experts in architecture, construction and associations.

Registration is open until September 13, 2024. For more information and to register, please visit the NRW.Global Business website.
