On December 31, 2024, Ms. Jun Xu left the office in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, at her own request after almost 18 years as manager. The company opened its first representative office in China there back in 1996. This step laid the foundation for North Rhine-Westphalia to become the leading investment location for Chinese companies in Germany today. Ms. Xu's many years of commitment have made a significant contribution to this development.
In addition to managing the representative office in Beijing and the project office in Guangzhou, Mr. Xingliang Feng will assume responsibility for the representative office in Nanjing. As Chief Representative China, he will therefore be responsible for all three locations. Mr. Feng has been in charge of the Beijing office since 2009 and has extensive expertise in foreign trade promotion as well as a broad network in China and Germany.
Ms. Xiaodong Wang, who has been working there as an acquisition manager since 2011, will take over the operational management of the local office in Nanjing. As Director for East, Central and Southwest China, she will continue to use her expertise to support Chinese companies with their investment projects in North Rhine-Westphalia.
"The interest of Chinese companies in NRW remains high. Our goal is to continue to focus our cooperation with China on economic projects of mutual interest. In particular, we see opportunities for cooperation in the areas of sustainable future technologies, energy transition and climate protection," explains Felix Neugart, CEO of NRW.Global Business. "We look forward to driving this forward together with our experienced local team and would like to thank Ms. Xu for her many years of outstanding work."
