NRW.Global Business organizes the Business Day Japan jointly with the NRW Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Protection, the state capital Düsseldorf and the Japanese Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Düsseldorf. The business conference has been an integral part of Japan Day since 2002 and underlines the importance of NRW as a business location for Japan. The event will take place on May 27, 2024 and is aimed at German and Japanese trade visitors.
The topic "German and Japanese Open Innovation Strategies for a Better Future" focuses on how companies deal with the high pressure to innovate caused by factors such as global networking, technological change, new sustainability goals, or shorter product life cycles. Many companies have been successfully implementing open innovation strategies for years. This means that they open up their own innovation process to external ideas, technologies or expertise in order to increase their own innovation potential and secure competitive advantages. They often involve customers, universities, research institutes or start-ups in the process.
During the conference, participants will discuss questions such as what successful open innovation strategies can look like and what country-specific differences there are between Germany and Japan.
The registration deadline is May 20, 2024. Further information can be found on the website of the Japan Business Day.
