Learn more about H2 projects in Antwerp and Brussels: The Port of Antwerp aims to be carbon neutral by 2050 and become a green hydrogen hub for the European market. The "NextGen District" industrial zone located there follows these sustainable ambitions: As an innovation platform, it is available to companies to develop and test ideas for the production of green hydrogen, among other things.

During the two and a half day trip, companies from NRW will learn about selected lighthouse projects in the Flanders energy industry. The focus will be on projects in the Port of Antwerp that play a key role in the import, local production, processing and transportation of green hydrogen and hydrogen carriers such as ammonia and methanol.

Participants can also expect a varied program offering networking opportunities with Belgian experts, clusters and companies. This includes a visit to the Belgian Hydrogen Congress "Building the European Hydrogen Value Chain" in Brussels. The congress is organized by the Belgian Hydrogen Council, the national association of the two regional hydrogen clusters Waterstofnet in Flanders and Tweed in Wallonia.
