The economy in the southern states of the USA is becoming increasingly diversified. The trend is moving away from traditional industries such as agriculture, textiles and chemicals towards future-oriented sectors such as the automotive industry and mechanical engineering. More than 1,000 automotive companies have already settled in the region due to the favorable funding conditions, the well-developed research landscape and the good connections to international hubs. Neighboring Mexico, meanwhile, scores with competitive production costs and direct links to the southern US states.
NRW.Global Business is therefore offering companies from the automotive and smart logistics sectors that are planning to expand into the USA or Mexico the opportunity to get to know the overseas markets as part of a company trip from November 18 to 22, 2024.
The program includes various company visits around Nashville and Monterrey – for example, the delegation will visit the Nissan plant in Smyrna, the La Vergne Distribution Complex (where e.g. Bridgestone is located) and the GM Spring Hill Plant. Further information on the program and registration can be found on the NRW.Global Business website.
