Düsseldorf, 19.12.2018 – The company Verisure Deutschland GmbH, a subsidiary of the Swiss Securitas Direct Verisure Group, has opened a distribution and control center for digital security systems in Ratingen with the support of the state-owned economic development agency NRW.INVEST., Verisure currently employs more than 70 people here, and the number of jobs is expected to increase to around 200 by the end of 2019.
The Swiss company uses innovative security technologies to develop monitored alarm systems for private households and companies. NRW Minister of Economics and Digital Affairs Prof. Dr. Andreas Pinkwart sees the settlement of Verisure as a step forward for NRW as a digital location. "Digital transformation not only creates new perspectives for companies, but also offers great opportunities and convenience for a smart society. Our goal is to place digitization processes at the service of citizens at all levels and at all times. Flexible smart home applications that make our everyday lives a little safer and simpler are certainly among them," says Pinkwart.
Verisure covers the entire value chain – from the preparation of individual safety reports to the development of individual alarm components and the monitoring of the systems. "The focus of our work is to protect people. With our certified products and our highly professional service, we take responsibility for the safety of our customers," says Álvaro Grande Royo-Villanova, CEO of the newly founded Verisure Deutschland GmbH. "We invest in the security of households and businesses. Germany plays a central role in our international expansion strategy". Every Verisure alarm system in Germany has a direct connection to the ISO 9001 and EN50518 certified emergency call and service control center in Ratingen, where a specially trained team evaluates the alarm and answers it in an average time of less than 60 seconds. This control center is available around the clock to initiate all necessary measures at any time and, if necessary, to inform security personnel, the police, the fire service or the ambulance service. The customer also has the option of controlling the entire security system via an app. In the event of an alarm, the customer also immediately receives real-time photos of the situation in the building.
In NRW, Verisure has optimal conditions for further growth. "NRW is the most attractive investment and innovation location for international companies in Germany. With its strong industrial and service landscape, the state offers a broad sales market and numerous cooperation partners for new developments, particularly in the field of digitization," emphasizes Petra Wassner, CEO of NRW.INVEST.
The Securitas Direct Verisure Group was established 30 years ago and now employs more than 16,000 people worldwide. The company operates 15 emergency call and service control centers throughout Europe and South America and serves more than three million customers.
