On the occasion of its 25th anniversary, the Norwegian energy group Statkraft, Europe's largest producer of renewable energy, has extensively modernized its German headquarters in Düsseldorf. Strong growth in recent years made this step necessary. Statkraft, which received the NRW.Global Business AWARD in 2006, has established itself as one of the leading wind farm operators and direct marketers of renewable energies in Germany since opening its first office in Düsseldorf in 1999.
Today, the company is one of the ten largest operators of onshore wind farms in Germany. It also operates hydroelectric, biomass and gas-fired power plants and has more than 700 employees, including more than 500 in Düsseldorf.
In the future, Statkraft's German headquarters in Düsseldorf will increasingly become a European energy hub, serving customers in Spain, Italy and France, among other countries. The energy supplier offers a range of services to help companies achieve their sustainability goals and decarbonize their operations.
