Takasago Europe, one of the world's leading manufacturers of flavors and fragrances, announced an investment of 15 million euros for the construction of a new building at its Zülpich site. The inauguration of the new 2,335 square meter building was celebrated at the end of May.
The expansion underlines Takasago's long-term commitment to NRW. The Japanese company has been firmly rooted in NRW for more than 30 years. In 1992, it established its European headquarters for flavors here with production, research and development, quality and human resources, sales, IT as well as finance and accounting. With the expansion of the European headquarters, Takasago is increasing its production capacity and creating additional office, warehouse and laboratory space. Initially, the company employed 15 people here; now it employs around 450.
Takasago Europe is a subsidiary of Takasago International Corporation based in Tokyo. With around 4,000 employees worldwide, the group operates 25 production facilities in 28 countries for the manufacture of flavors for the cosmetics and food industries.
